By purchasing or licensing a pattern from the Pattern Library, you agree to the following terms. These apply to all licenses arranged via this website or direct communication.

1. Agreement

This agreement is between Caitlin Studio (“Licensor”) and you, the Licensee (“Client”).

2. Orders & License Confirmation

Payment secures your request to license a design.

Your license is only confirmed once:

• The usage form is completed, and

• The Licensing Agreement has been signed and returned

Until then, your order is considered pending and can be cancelled for a full refund.

Once confirmed, your final artwork files will be delivered as outlined.

Designs are not reserved until the Licensing Agreement is fully signed.

3. Usage Form

After purchase, you’ll receive a usage form via email.
This must be completed before your license is approved. Delays in submitting this may delay your order.

4. Licensed Artwork

You are granted the right to use the selected artwork for commercial purposes, as outlined in your agreed license terms (including type, term, usage, industry, and product scope).

All details will be confirmed in writing before files are delivered.

Licensing is limited to the approved brand, product categories, and usage scope unless otherwise agreed in writing.

5. License Restrictions

You may not:

• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the artwork

• Claim the artwork as your own

• Use the artwork across multiple brand names

• Use the artwork outside the agreed terms or approved product categories

• Violate any copyright or intellectual property laws

• Share files with third parties except for production purposes (and only where those parties do not retain or reuse the artwork)

Any changes (including but not limited to colour, scale, or layout) must be approved by Caitlin Studio prior to production or publication.

6. Ownership & Copyright

All artwork remains the property of Caitlin Studio.
You are purchasing a license to use the design—not ownership of it.

Full copyright transfer (buyout) is not included unless explicitly agreed in writing.

7. Territory

Licenses are valid worldwide unless otherwise agreed in writing.

8. File Delivery

Final artwork files will be delivered digitally (via email or download link) once:

• Full payment is received

• The usage form is completed

• The Licensing Agreement is signed

9. Fees

All license fees must be paid in full before artwork is delivered.

10. Renewals

Licenses can be renewed or extended upon expiry.
New terms and fees will apply.

11. Termination

If these terms are breached, the license will be terminated immediately.
You must stop using the artwork at once.

12. Credit (Optional)

Credit is appreciated but not required.
If included, please use: “Print design by Caitlin Studio”

13. Indemnity

You agree to take responsibility for how the artwork is used and to protect the Licensor from any claims, losses, or damages resulting from misuse.

14. Liability

Any liability is limited to the amount paid for the license.

15. Disclaimer

• Results are not guaranteed (including sales, performance, or product outcomes)

• Colours may vary depending on screens, materials, and production methods

• You are responsible for final production and printing outcomes

• The Licensor is not responsible for manufacturer, printer, or production errors

This agreement does not create a partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship.

16. Refunds & Cancellations

• Full refunds are available only while your order is pending (before the Licensing Agreement is signed)

• Once the Licensing Agreement is signed, refunds are not available (unless required by Australian Consumer Law)

A cancellation fee (“kill fee”) may apply if work has commenced on custom requests prior to cancellation.

17. Changes to This Agreement

Any changes must be agreed to in writing by both parties.

18. Force Majeure

Caitlin Studio is not liable for delays or failure to deliver caused by events outside reasonable control, including illness, technical failure, or unforeseen circumstances.

19. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by Australian law.

20. Acceptance

By purchasing a pattern, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these terms.
